Our Beliefs
Christian Spiritualist Philosophy
We are the largest independent Spiritualist Church in Ohio. Unlike the National Spiritualist Association, we include teachings from the Holy Bible. Using the teachings of Jesus and other Master Teachers as a foundation, we strive to make our beliefs our way of life. We accept each person as an individual example of God's love and power, and help them discover and use their own spiritual gifts. We believe in and use spiritual healing, prophecy, and mediumship.
We know that life is eternal and is, therefore, continuous as shown by the spirit messages we receive. We invite you to attend our services and to attain membership in the Church family. We are grateful for the opportunity to worship as we believe and offer you the opportunity to worship with us.
Declaration of Principles
We believe in God.
Physical and Spiritual Nature are the expression of God’s creation.
A correct understanding of Nature and living in the spirit of God constitute true religion.
The existence and personal identity of the individual continue after the change we call death.
Communication with the so-called dead is a fact proven by the existence of spiritualism.
The highest morality is contained in the golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Each person is responsible for their own happiness or unhappiness as they obey or disobey natural, physical and spiritual laws.
The doorway to reformation is never closed against any human soul, here or hereafter.
The precept of prophecy contained in the Bible is a divine attribute proven through mediumship.
Seed Thoughts
The mind is a garden where thought flowers grow.
The thoughts that we think are the seeds that we sow.
Each kind loving thought bears a kind loving deed,
While a thought that is selfish is just like a weed.
We must watch what we think, the live long day.
Pull out the weed thoughts and throw them away.
Plant loving seed thoughts so thick in a row,
There will be no room for weed thoughts to grow.
Prayer for Spiritual Healing
I ask God to remove all
obstructions from my mind and body
to restore me to perfect health.
I ask this in all sincerity and honesty
And I will do my part.
I ask God to help those that are
present or absent
that are in the need of help
to restore them to perfect health.
I put my trust in the love and power of God.
